We Help Our Community's Students Succeed Through Scholarships
Lanesborough-New Ashford Dollars for Scholars® is a nonprofit organization that supports academic success in our community. We are a Chapter Affiliate of Scholarship America.® Our mission is to encourage students to engage in volunteer service and to support their continuing education goals after high school. Our organization is 100% volunteer-driven! Our volunteers work tirelessly throughout the year on a number of fundraising events to maximize the potential for generous scholarship awards.

Important: you can begin adding data to your profile and application before submitting it. Since you will be adding information about your activities over the past four years, it may take some time to finalize your application so don't wait until the deadline to get started! In order to get credit for the volunteer hours listed in your application, you MUST provide the name and contact information for the person who can be contacted to verify these hours.
The deadline for finalizing your online application is midnight on Sunday, April 28, 2024.
Eligibility Requirements for a LNADS Scholarship:
1) Applicant must reside in Lanesborough or New Ashford (even if they attend high school elsewhere or are home-schooled);
2) Applicant must be a graduating senior who has applied to college or a vocational or technical school; and
3) Applicant must have participated in at least one LNADS fundraiser during their four years of high school.
Scholarship award decisions are based on:
-demonstrated volunteer service, with an emphasis on service performed in the communities of Lanesborough or New Ashford;
-involvement in LNADS fundraising activities or operations;
-personal achievements and leadership qualities;
-involvement in athletics, music, theatre, clubs or organizations, and/or employment while in high school;
and, if applicable, special circumstances which may have interfered with an applicant's success.
Other Scholarships awarded by LNADS:
In addition to LNADS Scholarships, we award two privately funded scholarships, each with their own eligibility requirements. Please see the information included elsewhere on this website to learn about the Roger Knollmeyer Scholarship and the Polly Condron Scholarship - both of which are awarded annually when an eligible applicant submits an application for a LNADS Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to a qualified application in addition to a LNADS Scholarship.
